The role of each component of the cyclone:

1. The inlet plays a role of diversion, reducing the turbulence disturbance caused by the change of flow direction.

2. The column part is the pre-separation zone. In this area, large and small particles are dispersed in different tracks from the outside to the inside under different centrifugal forces, providing conditions for the later centrifugal separation.

3. The cone part is the main separation zone, and the slurry is affected by the reduced wall, and gradually forms internal and external swirling flows, and separates between large and small particles.

4. The overflow and underflow respectively lead out the overflow and underflow smoothly, and prevent the mixing between the two.

The degreasing and desilting components of the hydrocyclone do not require special maintenance. The wear of the cyclone can be checked regularly. If the thickness of any part of the cyclone is reduced by 50%, it must be replaced.
