In the drilling process, harmful gas generally exists inside the wellhead. Its existence reduces the hydraulic head of the drilling fluid and reduces the ability of the drilling fluid to carry cuttings; when the gas pressure in the well is large enough, it may cause a blowout accident. The presence of gas has always been a problem affecting drilling pumps and hydrocyclones. The degasser can quickly remove the invading gas in the drilling fluid, restore the specific gravity of the drilling fluid, and stabilize the performance of the drilling fluid. It is an indispensable equipment for deep well, ultra-deep well and underbalanced well engineering.
The degasser is an industrial equipment used in oil and natural gas drilling operations. It is part of the mud system and is used to remove gaseous pollutants from drilling fluids. Combined with solid removal devices such as vibrating screens, the deaerator helps to clean the drilling mud and allow it to continue to be reused during drilling operations. When the gas is discharged from the borehole, it can be sucked into one of two different types of degassing devices. The vacuum degasser relies on vacuum pressure to separate gas and liquid.
