Mud Cleaning Gun

The main function of the mud cleaning gun is to prevent the sedimentation of mud. It generates a strong eddy current in the drilling mud circulation system by means of high-pressure rotary jetting, so that the solid particles in the mud remain suspended and do not settle in the dead angle between the bottom of the mud tank and the tank wall. The power source of this device can be a mud pump or a jet mixing device, which method depends on the actual situation.

According to the actual pressure level, mud cleaning guns can be divided into three types: high pressure, medium pressure and low pressure. The high-pressure mud gun is usually supplied by a branch stream discharged from the drilling pump, and the pressure level can reach 1-6MPa, which is suitable for relatively high pressure scenarios. The medium and low pressure mud guns are supplied by a centrifugal sand pump, and the pressure level is between 0.2 and 0.3 MPa, which is suitable for low pressure scenarios.
