What is the working principle of an agitator?
The working principle of the mud agitator is mainly to drive the agitator to rotate through a motor, generating powerful power to circulate, stir and mix the liquid, thereby maintaining the uniformity of the drilling fluid. This type of equipment usually has components such as a worm gear reducer, an explosion-proof motor and a double-layer impeller, in which the motor drives the agitator to rotate after being decelerated by the reducer. The double-layer impeller design can increase the range and intensity of stirring, ensuring that the solid particles in the drilling fluid will not settle, thereby maintaining the stable performance and uniform mixing of the drilling fluid. This type of agitator is very critical in drilling operations because it can prevent the drilling fluid from settling in the circulation system and ensure the efficiency and safety of drilling operations.
Installation and maintenance of mud agitator:
1. When installing the mud agitator, the agitator should be lifted horizontally and placed steadily at the desired installation position. After adjusting the coaxiality <0.39mm, weld the 4 M16 sockets to the tank body and tighten the base fixing bolts.
2. The rigid coupling of the mud agitator must be equipped with spring pads and should be firm and reliable, otherwise it will cause the deflection of the impeller shaft and aggravate the wear of the reducer.
3. There should be no abnormal conditions such as abnormal noise, tape jamming, and excessive temperature during the operation of the mud agitator. Otherwise, the machine should be stopped for inspection and troubleshooting.
4. The oil level of the reducer of the mud agitator should be kept in the middle of the oil sight glass, and the lubricating oil should be replenished frequently during operation. It is recommended to use 120# industrial gear oil. When the site cannot meet the requirements, other lubricating oils with appropriate particle sizes can also be used.
