Drilling centrifuge is also called oilfield centrifuge, drilling fluid centrifuge, decanter centrifuge, etc. It is a five-stage solid phase particle control device in the drilling mud solid control system. It is an important solid control equipment in the drilling platform. It is mainly used to separate ultra-fine harmful solids larger than 2μm that cannot be separated by the cyclone device. The centrifuge can quickly restore the specific gravity and other properties of the drilling fluid, providing a reliable guarantee for efficient and safe drilling.
The daily maintenance of the drilling fluid centrifuge should pay attention to the following matters:
1. Grease lubrication
There are 4 grease filling points on the centrifuge, of which 2 are on the top of the main bearing cover. Add 2# lithium-based grease every 8 hours until the end face of the bearing seat overflows. The other two filling points are on the left and right journals of the drum. Add 2# lithium-based grease every 50 hours and press 10 times with a grease gun.
There is one maintenance point on the centrifuge main bearing seat, which should be maintained once every 8 hours. There are two maintenance points on the main shaft, which should be maintained once every 50 hours. There is one maintenance point on the centrifuge differential teeth, which should be maintained once every 500 hours or so.
2. Lubricating oil lubrication
The centrifuge differential is lubricated with 68# mechanical oil. After the first 150h of operation, the lubricating oil should be completely replaced. First, remove the differential plug and drain the old oil. Then add 4kg diesel, screw on the plug, rotate the differential several times by hand and drain the diesel. Then rinse it repeatedly 2 to 3 times in the same way, and finally add 68# mechanical oil to the specified oil level. After that, change the differential oil once every 1000 hours of operation according to the above method.
3. Hydraulic transmission oil
No. 20 or No. 6 hydraulic transmission oil is generally added to the centrifuge hydraulic coupling. The role of the oil in the coupling is mainly to transmit torque rather than just lubrication. The amount of oil filled in the coupling directly affects its transmission characteristics.
The maximum oil filling volume should not exceed 80% of the total volume, otherwise the coupler will not be able to buffer the impact of motor startup and the pressure in the cavity will increase during the operation of the coupler, resulting in increased hydraulic loss, leakage and heat; the minimum oil filling volume should not be less than 50% of the total volume, otherwise the bearing will not be effectively lubricated, accelerating bearing wear and generating noise. The coupler should be changed for oil every 3000 hours of operation, and the injected oil should be filtered through a sieve with a mesh size of 80 or more to prevent impurities from entering.
