Mud Shear Pump Features
1. Mud shear pump can improve the dispersion and hydration degree of soil particles in water, and save more than 30% of bentonite.
2. Mud shear pump has high shear efficiency, which can dilute and hydrate the polymer faster.
3. The mud shear pump has large displacement, high lift, good suction, and high efficiency; it can meet the requirements of new mud preparation and transportation.
4. The slurry shear pump adopts mechanical seal design, which greatly extends the service life.
5. The mud shear pump is installed on a special base and driven by a belt pulley, a narrow V-belt and an explosion-proof motor. It is used with the shear pump and there is a mixing funnel of suitable size to form a complete shear and hydration system.
Shear Pump Working Principle
Fluid enters at “V” and is pumped parallel to the shear “P”. The chambers scoops 50% of the volume being pumped and jets that fluid through 44 nozzles “N” and impacts the shear plate “P” at very high velocity at “M” 90 degrees to the fluid entering the pump. The total fluid “V” and “N” travels down the shear plate to “T” where the fluid is further sheared due to the shape and speed of the plate tip.
