3 Sets of Customized Mud Tanks Completed and Shipped to Indonesia

Recently, 3 sets of customized mud tanks manufactured by HL Petroleum for an Indonesian client were successfully completed, inspected, and dispatched from the factory. These tanks will be used for mud storage, mixing, and circulation at an overseas oilfield drilling site.

This delivery consists of two tanks sized 12,000×2,400×2,400 mm​ and one tank sized 7,500×2,400×2,400 mm. On-site, the three tanks will be connected into a single integrated mud system, enabling continuous mud transfer, storage, conditioning, and circulation to meet the drilling fluid stability and operational efficiency requirements of the client's project.

As critical supporting equipment for drilling solids control systems, mud tanks are far more than standard containers. Different oilfield blocks, rig configurations, and site layouts demand tailored solutions in terms of tank dimensions, piping arrangements, agitation systems, walkways, access ladders, and anti-corrosion specifications. The tanks are built to HL Petroleum's rigorous manufacturing standards: high-quality steel plate and section steel welding for superior structural strength; weld seams subjected to inspection and testing; manholes, ladders, and handrails optimized for field operation; built-in piping for easy installation, disassembly, and rig move; and marine-grade anti-corrosion coatings applied to withstand high-temperature, high-humidity environments and long-distance ocean transport.

The three-tank integrated design offers the best of both worlds: the transportability and hoisting flexibility of individual tanks, combined with the operational efficiency of a continuous mud processing chain on-site.
