HL Petroleum Ships 6 HXG42 Vertical Bulk Tanks to Indonesia

Recently, HL Petroleum has successfully completed the production and factory acceptance testing of 6 sets of HXG42 vertical bulk tanks​ customized for an oilfield cementing project in Indonesia. The equipment has been fully prepared for shipment via sea freight to the project site.

The HXG42 vertical bulk tank delivered this time boasts an effective volume of 42 cubic meters. It is primarily designed for the storage of bulk cement and barite powder at oilfields and cement warehouses. By optimizing the design, this tank significantly reduces the number of loose cement or barite containers required on-site, making it an ideal solution for narrow oilfield sites​ where space is limited during cementing operations.

The HXG42 operates on the principle of pneumatic conveying. Utilizing compressed air as the power source, the tank features externally removable nozzle-type aeration devices. These devices fluidize the powdered materials inside the tank. By leveraging the pressure differential​ between the interior and exterior of the tank, the materials are efficiently discharged.

The system comprises five core modules: the air distribution system, storage system, aeration device, load-bearing system, and piping accessories. It integrates functions such as loading, unloading, venting, and inflation. The tanks can be operated individually or series connection ​ to meet varying capacity demands. Notably, a dedicated transport base​ is welded to the tank side, facilitating frequent relocation and transportation within the oilfield.

To withstand the harsh tropical island climate​ of Indonesia—characterized by high temperatures, high humidity, and coastal salt spray—HL Petroleum has implemented specific enhancements. These include high-strength pressure-bearing steel plates, marine-grade anti-corrosion coatings, and optimized sealing to prevent clogging during the rainy season.
