    The working principle of the drilling shear pump is mainly based on the principles of fluid dynamics and shear force. The following is a detailed explanation of its working principle:

    First, the drilling shear pump drives the pump seat and the impeller in the pump casing to rotate at high speed through the motor. When the impeller starts to rotate, the drilling fluid is sucked into the pump body from the pump inlet.

    Then, the drilling fluid enters the liquid storage tank of the impeller and is thrown to the periphery under the action of centrifugal force. In the pump wheel part of the impeller, the drilling fluid is subjected to strong shearing. The shear plate designed on the pump wheel will generate high-speed rotating shear force to cut and disperse the drilling fluid.
    How does a shear pump work

    This shearing process can effectively mix the solid particles, additives and other substances in the drilling fluid and completely hydrate them. The shear force causes the polymer and soil moving particles to be continuously sheared, refined and mixed, thereby accelerating the dispersion of the polymer or soil moving particles and increasing the dissolution rate of the additives.

    Finally, the drilling fluid after shearing treatment is discharged through the discharge pipe outlet for use in drilling operations. The working process of the drilling shear pump can be adjusted and controlled according to actual needs to meet the requirements of different drilling fluid treatment.
