Drilling fluids shear pump working principle
1. Working principle of shear pump
The axial flow turbine provides fluid with a certain displacement and capacity for the impeller and the liquid storage tank. 50% of the fluid is discharged into the volute through the impeller, and 50% is absorbed by the liquid storage tank. The unique design of the booster tank gives the fluid in the liquid storage tank a certain capacity. The fluid discharged by the impeller flows parallel to the shear plate and has a high flow rate. The fluid sucked into the liquid storage tank is ejected perpendicular to the shear plate through 44 nozzles. After the jet fluid is mixed with the fluid discharged by the impeller, it impacts the sawtooth of the outer circle of the shear plate at a high flow rate. The high-speed rotating shear plate sawtooth shears the fluid again. Therefore, the fluid flowing through the impeller is subjected to multiple shearing effects.
2. Main structure of shear pump
The shear pump consists of an impeller, a volute, a support, a packing box, a transmission shaft, a pulley, a combined belt, a motor and a support. The impeller is mainly composed of five parts: an axial flow turbine, a liquid storage tank, an impeller, a booster tank and a shear plate. The axial-flow turbine, pump wheel and liquid storage tank are cast into a whole with stainless steel, and the structure is very compact.
