    The mud pump is a reciprocating plunger pump that converts the rotational motion of the motor into the reciprocating linear motion of the crosshead and piston through the crank connecting rod mechanism, compressing low-pressure mud into high-pressure mud. During the drilling process, drilling fluid with high viscosity, large specific gravity and high sand content is transported to the bottom of the well at high pressure to cool the drill bit, wash the bottom of the well, break rocks, and carry cuttings when returning from the bottom of the well. This is a petroleum drilling operation. One of the most important solid control equipment.

    Working principle of mud pump
    The working process of the mud pump is divided into two steps: suction process and discharge process. Traditionally, we divide mud pumps into two parts: the liquid end and the power end. The power end is used to transmit power and convert movement modes and speeds. Provide appropriate power to the liquid end; the liquid end is used to convert mechanical energy into liquid internal energy to transport mud.

    The working pressure of the pump usually refers to the liquid force exerted on the unit area at the pump discharge port, which is referred to as the pump pressure and is represented by p.

    Rated power and efficiency of mud pump: The energy transferred by the power machine to the driving shaft of the pump per unit time is called the input power of the pump; the input power when the pump is working at the rated stroke is called the rated power of the pump, expressed in N; unit time The energy added to the internal liquid after the action of the pump is called effective power, also called water power, expressed in Nr. The efficiency of the pump is the ratio of effective power to input power.

    Number of strokes: Also called pump strokes, it refers to the number of reciprocations of the piston per unit time, expressed in n.

    Stroke length: refers to the distance of the piston's reciprocating motion, represented by S.
