How to install the spray pump?

How to install the spray pump?
1. Pump installation: The pump should be installed as close as possible to the pumping source to shorten the length of the suction section and reduce suction loss. When installing, the foundation of the pump should be level, solid and reliable to avoid vibration.
2. Electric spray pump coupling installation: The service life of the pump and motor depends on the good alignment of the elastic coupling. During installation, the error requirements of the pump shaft and the motor shaft are: parallelism offset ≤ 0.25mm, axis angle error ≤ 0.12mm. If the inspection results are out of these ranges, it is necessary to adjust the mounting gaskets of the pump and the motor to adjust the axis. When adjusting, you can use a straightedge to check until it meets the requirements.
3. Installation of pulleys: When installing two pulleys, their axes must be parallel, and the error of the end faces must not exceed 2mm. The belt must be properly adjusted for tightness, and the motor must be installed smoothly and firmly.
4. Pipeline installation:
A. The cross-sectional area of the suction pipe must be greater than or equal to the cross-sectional area of the pump flow path to ensure sufficient feed flow.
B. Throttle valves are not permitted in the suction line, but normally open valves may be installed to reduce flow turbulence. Normally open valves can only be closed when the pump is dismantled for maintenance.
C. To avoid air bubbles in the suction line, there should be a gradual transition between the suction source and the pump from high to low. If the pump needs to be used under the condition of suction, please use a vacuum pump or a bottom valve to divert water.
D. The piping at the pump inlet must be straight and at least twice the diameter of the suction piping in length to reduce flow resistance.
E. When temporarily using the hose as a suction line, it must be ensured that the hose is not compressed. Since the pressure in the suction pipe is generally lower than the atmospheric pressure, the hose will be compressed under the action of the atmospheric pressure, resulting in a reduction or even interruption of the flow.
F. In order to facilitate the maintenance of the pump, a normally open valve should be installed in the outlet pipeline to cut off the liquid flow at any time.
G. All pipelines (including inlet pipelines) must have their own support, and the weight of the pipelines must not be supported by the pump to prevent unnecessary loads on the pump.
H. When the working conditions are unclear or unstable, a throttle valve must be installed in the outlet pipeline to ensure that the pump operates at the design point and works stably.
If you are unsure about any aspect of the spray pump installation process, it is recommended to seek help from us.
