How to select and install mud agitator

Mud agitator is a very important solids control equipment. Mixing and mixing devices must be properly designed and installed correctly. 1. Design parameters

The correct design of the mixing system must understand the following parameters

(1) The size of the drilling fluid tank and the chassis;

(2) Chassis shape;

(3) Chassis function (solid phase removal, test, suction, storage or small slug/slug);

(4) The expected maximum drilling fluid density.

Once this information is determined, the design will focus on the size and model of the impeller and the amount of energy required. As mentioned earlier, for mechanical agitators, there are two basic types of flow patterns: radial flow and axial flow.

2. Tank shape

It works best when the agitator is placed on a symmetrical circular or square tank (viewed from its upper part). The round shape is ideal for many reasons, including fewer dead spots where solids can settle.

The round tank body is installed with the central drain pipe or cleaning device, the tank body is easier to clean, and it needs less washing liquid than the rectangular or square tank body. Because they are symmetrical, the mixing is thorough and the effect is best. However, round tanks also have disadvantages. They cannot use space more effectively. Compared with rectangular or square tanks, the same volume takes up more space. Round tanks need baffles to prevent the tank from rotating and promote liquid. Suspended, which increases manufacturing costs.
