How does the mud tank affect the mud agitator
Under normal circumstances, the mud agitator is usually installed on the mud tank. Therefore, the shape, size and components of the mud tank will also have a certain influence on the mud agitator.
According to some characteristics of the mud tank, we have summarized the following three situations:
1. The influence of the internal parts of the mud tank on the mud agitator
An important consideration when manufacturing a mud tank is how to place its internal plumbing system, if they are placed incorrectly, it can affect the agitator. For any type of tank, the recommendation for installing piping is based on actual needs and experience. We need to consider the following factors: What effect does the piping system have on the flow pattern in the tank, and the flow path of the fluid to be stirred should not be supported by piping or structures device obstruction.
2. The influence of the size of the mud tank on the mud agitator
Proper sizing of a mud mixer is based on mixing large volumes of liquid. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the size of the tank. In most cases, except for grit chambers, all tanks need to be equipped with mud mixers. Some solids control systems convert grit chambers into active drilling fluid tanks, which require even more agitators. This presents a problem considering that many solids control systems have drilling fluid shakers on the tank with little or no space for the mud agitator. If this occurs prior to the fabrication of the tank, install a mud agitator without interfering with the drilling fluid shaker. Mud guns can also be used, which use fluid motion to agitate the drilling fluid tank.
3. The influence of the shape of the mud tank on the mud agitator
When the mud mixer is installed in a symmetrical round or square tank (viewed from its upper part) it works...good. Round tanks are ideal for a number of reasons, including less dead space where solids can settle. A round tank is fitted with a central drain or wash, making the tank easier to clean and requiring less washing liquid than a rectangular or square tank. Since the mud tank is symmetrical, the mixing is uniform and the effect is good. However, round tanks also have some disadvantages. They do not use space more efficiently. Compared with rectangular or square tanks, the same volume takes up more space. Round tanks need baffles to prevent the tank from rotating and facilitates liquid suspension, which increases manufacturing costs.
Xi'an HL Petroleum produces mud tanks and mud mixing devices, and will also directly provide customers with mud mixing systems. The mud circulating tanks are directly equipped with agitators and jet mixing devices. Our company supports customer customization, solid control equipment and solids control system.
