What are the commonly used terms of oil drilling fluid
What are the commonly used terms of oil drilling fluid?
Adsorption: It is a property determined by adhesion, which refers to the phenomenon that solids hold or accumulate gases, liquids or dissolved substances (adsorbents) on their surface.
Aeration: 1. Refers to the technique of injecting an unquantified amount of air or gas into the drilling fluid to reduce the hydrostatic head. 2. Refers to mixing and dispersing air or gas in drilling fluid. If there is no selective control, it is very harmful to the drilling fluid.
Agglomeration (agglomerate): refers to the phenomenon that individual particles aggregate into larger agglomerates during the sieving or drying process.
Aggregate: refers to join together, agglomerate together. After adding the flocculant, the drilling fluid will coalesce.
Agitation: Refers to the process of rapidly flowing drilling fluid in a tank in order to obtain and maintain uniform mixing.
Air cutting: refers to the unintentional mechanical mixing and dispersion of air in the drilling fluid system.
