What are the Shale Shaker operation guidelines

When the drilling fluid circulates, the Mud Shale Shaker must be continuously vibrated. If the Shale Shaker does not vibrate, the drill cuttings cannot be removed.

(1) The drilling fluid must flow through most of the screen cloth area. If the drilling fluid can only cover 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen cloth, it means that the number of screen cloths used is too large.

(2) The holes in the screen cloth must be repaired or replaced, and the holes in the flat screen cloth can be blocked. Install the screen cloth according to the installation procedure provided by the manufacturer. When the drilling fluid flows through the holes on the screen cloth, the drill cuttings in the cloth cannot be separated.

(3) The screen cloth must be replaced as soon as possible. The vibrating screen stops running during replacement, which will reduce the amount of solids removed from the drilling fluid.

(4) Before starting to replace the screen cloth, place the tools and prepare a new screen cloth. If possible, an assistant can be provided.

(5) If possible, it is best to replace the screen cloth when connecting a single one. In some emergency situations, the drilling engineer may stop the pump (or reduce the pump speed) and stop the cobalt when changing the screen cloth.

(6) In order to improve the service life of the screen cloth under tension-free conditions, it is necessary to ensure that every part of the screen cloth tension system, such as rubber supports, nuts, bolts, springs, etc., are properly installed and not deformed.

(7) Check the operating environment of the vibration isolation element and the supporting parts of the screen cloth. If it is damaged or excessively fatigued, it should be replaced in time.

(8) Water cannot be added directly to the liquid storage tank (or tail tank) or on the vibrating screen cloth, water can only be added to the next stage of the process.

(9) Unless the loop is lost, the entire process must pass through the vibrating screen, even if it is bypassed for a short time.

(10) Clean the screen cloth before each start to prevent the drilling fluid from covering the dry screen cloth.

The drilling fluid in the reserve tank cannot be directly fed into the circulation system or poured directly into the grit tank. If so, it will cause the cuttings to enter the circulation system, and when the next drill bit is used to start drilling, it will block the desilter.
