What are the common faults in a centrifuge

No matter what equipment will fail during use, what will happen to the centrifuge during use? How to troubleshoot the faults?

Fault: The motor cannot be started

Reasons: 1. The control circuit is short-circuited or the components are damaged; 2. The motor is damaged.

Remedy: 1. Connect the circuit or replace the components; 2. Replace the motor.

Fault: The machine vibrates violently

Reasons: 1. Between the spiral blades, the sediment in the cylinder is not cleaned and dried. 2. The bearings are severely worn. 3. After repairing, it is not assembled according to the original mark. 4. Loose or fall off the screws at the connection part. 5. The shock absorber fails.

Remedy: 1. Clean the drum until it is clean. 2. Replace the bearing. 3. Assemble according to the original mark. 4. Check and tighten each connection part. 5. Replace the shock absorber.

Fault: Fusible plug of the coupler melts

Reasons: 1. The feed volume is too large, and the concentration is too high to cause overload. 2. The slag outlet is blocked. 3. Excessive or insufficient working oil. 4. The main bearing is malfunctioning.

Remedy: 1. Control the feed flow and concentration. 2. Clean the slag outlet. 3. Check the oil level. 4. Replace the main bearing.

Fault: Torque overload device action

Reasons: 1. There is accumulation of material between the screw pusher and the drum. 2. Too much feed and too high concentration. 3. The slag outlet is blocked.

Remedy: 1. Clean the drum until it is clean. 2. Control the feed flow and concentration. 3. Clean the slag outlet.

Fault: There is a strange sound in the differential

Reasons: 1. Improper selection of oil quantity or oil type. 2. Gear wear. 3. Bearing wear.

Remedy: 1. Check and adjust the amount and type of oil. 2. Replace the gear and differential. 3. Replace the bearing.

Fault: no solid phase is discharged from the underflow port

Reasons: 1. Excessive liquid inlet and excessive accumulation of solid particles in the machine overload. 2. The safety pin installed on the shaft of the planetary gearbox is cut off. 3. The clutch is disengaged and the screw conveyor stops.

Remedy: 1. Clean the solid particles in the drum and adjust the liquid intake. 2. Replace the safety pin with the same specification. 3. Reinstall the clutch.
