The safe operation of the sand pump plays a very important role in the solid phase control of the mud. In the solids control system, it serves as the power source and slurry supply pump for the desilter, desander or mud cleaner. At the same time, it also plays a very important role in the slurry preparation operation. So how can the reasonable and safe operation of the sand pump be realized in the actual operation process?

Pay attention to the water leakage of the sand pump packing during operation. When the water leakage is too large, the sand pump packing should be properly pressed. If the packing is worn out, it should be replaced immediately to prevent sand from entering the bearing and affecting the life of the sand pump bearing.

At the same time, the start sequence of the sand pump must also use the procedure of turning the sand pump → turning on the spinning water → pressing the power button to start the sand pump → opening the slurry inlet valve → giving the upper pump shaft cooling water.

1. The following points should be paid attention to when starting the sand pump.

1). The belt pulley and the backrest wheel must be rotated for 1-2 revolutions before starting.

2) When starting the sand pump, pay attention to the current indication and the running condition of the sand pump at the same time, and confirm that it is normal before leaving the switch board.

3) Open the packing pressure water and open the slurry inlet valve to make the sand pump work normally.

4). When changing the pump, start the standby pump according to the driving method. After it works normally, stop the original working pump according to the stopping sequence.

2. The following points should also be noted during the operation of the sand pump:

1). Check once an hour according to the patrol checkpoint line, and increase the number of inspections for key parts and weak links.

2). Always pay attention to the current indication and the operation of the sand pump, and pay attention to timely refueling.

3). Frequently get in touch with flotation, and strengthen cooperation to adapt to upper and lower procedures.

4). Always pay attention to the liquid level of the pump pool, and pay attention to the stability of the sand pump particle lifting volume. If the efficiency drops, the lifting volume should be increased. If the volume is too large, measures must be taken in the previous process.
