The screw propeller is a main component of the drilling fluid centrifuge. Its structure, materials and parameters are directly related to the separation effect, production capacity and service life of the drilling fluid centrifuge. The only function of the screw is to push the sediment, but its requirements are different in the sedimentation zone and the drying zone. The solid particles in the suspension in the sedimentation zone gradually form a sedimentation zone toward the wall of the drum.
The screw should be beneficial to move the sediment without violently agitating the sediment, resulting in the separation of the separated sediment and the liquid phase. There are two layouts of spiral blades, one is that the spiral blade is perpendicular to the drum bus, which is convenient for welding and correction, and is commonly used in design. One is that the blade is perpendicular to the axis of rotation.
Because the blades of the propeller are in direct contact with the sediment, the blades have high requirements for materials, and the blades need to have high wear resistance. Generally, hard alloys are built-up or spray-welded on the surface of the blades. This processing method is more difficult. At present, a new process for manufacturing wear-resistant blades has appeared, which is characterized by using wear-resistant sheets to be fixed on the tile-shaped workpiece by brazing, welding or bonding, and then welding the two-piece assembly to the spiral blade to make The centrifuge maintains a high production capacity.
