    The principle of a desander hydrocyclone is based on the concept of centrifugal force. When drilling fluid enters the hydrocyclone tangentially at a high velocity, it creates a swirling motion inside the hydrocyclone. This swirling motion generates centrifugal force, causing the solid particles within the fluid to move towards the outer wall of the hydrocyclone.

    As the solid particles move towards the outer wall, they lose momentum and settle under the influence of gravity. The settled particles accumulate in the lower section of the hydrocyclone and are discharged through the underflow outlet, while the cleaned drilling fluid exits through the overflow outlet.
