HYQ1400 Poor Boy Degasser

Hello everyone! Today, I would like to introduce this large device behind me, the HYQ1400 poor boy degasser. It is mainly used to remove air bubbles with diameters greater than 3mm from drilling fluid, in order to prevent blowouts, well kicks, and other major accidents.

The poor boy degasser is the HYQ1400 type, which is the largest one in our company. The tank volume can reach 6 cubic meters, and it can process 8,000 cubic meters liquid and 150,000 cubic meters gas per day. This separator can quickly adjust the specific gravity of the mud to avoid drilling accidents.

There are several important pipelines of our mud gas separator . This is the mud inlet pipeline, which is connected to the high-pressure gate valve of the choke manifold; this is the gas discharge line, through which the separated flammable gas is transported to our vertical igniter for burning. This is the mud discharge port, through which the degassed mud is sent to the mud shale shaker for screening. The bottom port is for mud discharge. After each use of the equipment, there will be some mud in the separator, which needs to be emptied through it.
