Basic process of solid control equipment
Mud solids control equipment is to control the harmful solid particles in the mud. By scientifically arranging solids control equipment, a reasonable and efficient drilling is formed. The liquid-solid control process can remove the harmful solid phase in the mud, retain the useful solid phase, and meet the requirements of the drilling process for mud performance.
The new mud solids control equipment adopts five-level solids control, and the solid phase control process is as follows:
Level 1 solids control equipment—removing large particles. The drilling tuck returned by the bottom hole circulation contains large drill cuttings, and the drilling fluid passes through the wellhead to the 1# tank. The connecting pipe enters the mud vibrating screen, and the drilling cuttings particles larger than 74μm in the drilling tuck are screened out through the mud vibrating screen to complete the first-level solid phase control.
Secondary solids control equipment-purge gas. The vacuum degasser is a special mud treatment used to remove the gas that invades the drilling tuck during the drilling process. Solid control equipment, it can quickly and effectively remove the gas (including air) contained in the mud. The deaerator is useful for restoring the mud density, preventing potential blowout, It plays an important role in the occurrence of the danger of well collapse.
Three-level solids control equipment-remove larger particles. The mud that has been processed by the mud vibrating screen enters the desander. The desander removes the larger mud
The sand (grain size 44μm-74μm) is separated and the sand removal process is completed, which is the three-level solid control.
Four-level solids control equipment—removes small particles. The mud processed by the desander enters the desilter, and the desilter pulls the sand with a small amount of mud (more Degree 8μm-44μm) separated. Complete the mud removal process. That is the four-stage mud solids control.
Five-level solids control equipment-remove smaller particles. The mud processed by the desilter enters the horizontal screw centrifuge, the horizontal screw centrifuge. The machine separates the sand with smaller mud (grain size 2μm-8μm) and completes the centrifugal process, which is the five-level solid phase control
All five-level solids control equipment is mainly used for complex well conditions and demanding well conditions. In the actual application process, it can be based on drilling operations.
