The jet mud funnel is a kind of equipment commonly used for drilling fluid mixing. There are two installation methods: high installation and low installation.
For high-level installation, it is necessary to design a hoist or cantilever crane to lift the drilling fluid material to the top of the drilling fluid tank. The advantage of this installation method is that the mixed drilling fluid can be directly discharged into the drilling fluid tank without climbing.
When installing at a low position, the climbing angle of the funnel should be designed reasonably, and the outlet of the funnel should be ensured to directly enter the drilling fluid tank to prevent the drilling fluid from overflowing from the funnel.
During the mixing process, the jet mud funnel will produce a large pressure loss. In order to ensure that the mixed drilling fluid can be directly discharged into the drilling fluid tank, the funnel is usually installed on the top of the drilling fluid tank, that is, a high-level installation. In this way, the mixed drilling fluid can flow directly into the drilling fluid tank without going through climbing.
